Health
By using our services, owners verify their dogs are fully vaccinated for canine parvovirus, canine distemper virus, Leptospirosis and Infectious canine hepatitis.
Customers must alert groomer of any medical issues or concerns.
Dog Grooming procedures can sometimes be stressful, especially for a senior dog or dog with health problems, and can expose hidden medical problems or aggravate a current one during or after the groom. In the best interest of your pet this contract/agreement will give us permission to obtain immediate Veterinary treatment for your pet should it be deemed necessary by us. We will do our best to contact you first, then take your pet to our Partnered Veterinarian. It is agreed that all expenses for Veterinary care will be covered by the pet’s owner.
Fleas/Ticks: If fleas are found on your dog we will bathe your dog in a flea shampoo and we will have to require additional disinfecting of our premises , this will incur a £15 charge on your grooming bill. If
ticks are found an additional charge of £5 will be added for their
removal.
Accidents: Even though we use extreme caution and care in all situations accidents/injuries can occur. Possible problems that could occur include cuts, nicks, scratches and quickening of the nails. In
most cases this can happen due to a dogs behaviour such as dog moving around. We make every effort to ensure your dog is groomed as safely as possible, but if your dog does not accept the process it can be dangerous to continue the groom and the groom will be halted but still chargeable.
Condition of your dog’s coat
As a rule we will not de-matt a whole dog. This is to conform with the Animal Welfare Act to not cause pain or suffering to an animal. Should your dog’s coat be excessively matted, the matted coat will be clipped (shaved) out. In this event, there will be an additional charge. Charges will vary to reflect the size of dog, time, and specialist products used. You will be made aware of any additional costs on arrival.
Behaviour
Aggression: Owners MUST inform us if dog bites, has bitten or is aggressive to people, other pets or specific grooming procedures. We reserve the right to refuse or stop services of your dog at any time before or during the grooming process. If your dog should bite, the owner agrees to be responsible for any costs incurred.
Non-attendance and lateness
As we offer a one on one service to benefit your dogs groom experience, unfortunately non-attendance or cancellation, if less than 24 hours notice is given, will be charged in full.
Additional charges will apply for:
Please call us if you’re running late for your dog’s groom. Whilst we will do our best to fit you in, should you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we can’t guarantee your appointment will be available or we may have to amend your dog’s service type to fit you in.
Please note that there will be an additional charge of £5 for every 15
minutes should you be late collecting your dog.
